Alwar lies in National Capital Region (NCR). Alwar is far away approx. 160 km by road/train from Delhi (Capital of India), and approx. 150 km from Jaipur (Capital of Rajasthan). You can reach Alwar by Rail Route Via Gurgaon – Rewari or via Mathura – Alwar & also by Bus Route. In future there is plan of Metro Train & Bullet Train from Delhi to Alwar . Alwar is surrounded by the Aravali Hills and has exclusive credit because of Sariska the national park (Van Abhyaran), Bala-Quila and Siliserh, Vijay Mandir, Pandupol, Jaisamand dam, Ramgarh dam, Narayani mata, Bhrathari, Tijara Jain mandir, Kesroli fort etc.
Sariska Tiger Reserve is located in alwar jaipur route. It is spread in 870 sq km area which is divided into the subregions : grasslands, dry deciduous forests, sheer cliffs and rocky landscapes. The park is situated 107 km from Jaipur and 200 km from Delhi.
Siliserh lake is an eye-catching lake in Alwar city. The lake spread in 9 sq km area. This is a huge lake with nice scenic views. Boating is highly recommended
